Rydges Rotorua Hotel

The restaurant was good for breakfast here, I had fresh dishes. The view of the pool was great. The location in a nice quiet area was particularly good and there were the main shopping centre and shopping centres nearby.

Request a room away from the main area to ensure a quieter experience, especially if noise is a concern at night.

It provided everything my son and I needed, from entertainment, service and dining. It was also an added bonus that it was located off the main street which was very appealing. I would definately stay again.

According to the reviews we choose this hotel thinking the location was good but too far from the city center when you don't have a car.When the shuttle was not available it took us 35' walking that we enjoyed but next time I'll book a hotel near the lake Rotorua as Novotel.Besides as it was school holidays there were a lot of very noisy children.

Clean property with nice design, and fantastic continental breakfast. Had big size room for a really great stay for 3 nights during school holidays.

Booked big size room that was upgraded for the previous bed. The breakfast was free and very good, with a huge variety of goodies. The location was marvellous, in Chapman's Restaurant, convenient to go everywhere. The pool was well-maintained and I had complementary drinks in the lobby bar.

Breakfast could be better. The staff's English is even worst than most of the tourists'.

We stayed with our two small children and our room was extremely well set-up for us when we arrived with a cot and a single bed. Our two year old boy was unfortunately sick the night that we stayed and all his bedding needed to be changed and was in a bit of a state. The staff dealt with it professionally and calmly and made us feel at ease, it was a real treat to be looked after in this way.

Very good value for money, perfect service and very helpful staff. Buffet dinner is a fantastic experience too. Location a bit outside town, but thermal and forest scenery are spectacular.

We enjoyed our stay, especially the superb heated outdoor pool that felt like a spa, the adjustable reading lights in our comfy beds, and the fun game room that kept our child entertained while we waited for dinner.

It was a good location. We only stayed one night but had a very comfortable sleep. Did not get a chance to use the pool because it was such a short stay but it did look very inviting.
